Returning to Our Humanness
What if the sacred wasn't something we needed to create? What if it has been here from the very beginning?
Your heart has never forgotten its rhythm. Your breath has never stopped returning. Cut your finger, and your body immediately begins healing itself. Every moment, your body is regenerating, healing, and adapting. Your nervous system is constantly trying to protect you while also searching for safety, connection, and belonging.
Perhaps our body has been in conversation with life long before our mind knew how to call it spiritual.
Somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn't longing for more spiritual experiences. I was longing to come home. Home to the Earth.
And the crazy part? Then came the body.
"Why was the body last for me?" just kept circling in my mind.
Because I was conditioned to believe my body was too much.
That it was wrong. That it was betraying me. That it wasn't acceptable.
Those messages came from everywhere. My mom. Kids in elementary school. The woman measuring me for a bra who told my fourteen-year-old self to keep my body exactly the same because my measurements were "perfect." Then came boys, the male gaze, the pressure of being looked at, judged, wanted or not wanted, and the moments when simply existing in my body didn't feel safe.
When I zoom out now, I can see this wasn't just my story. It was cultural. But my younger self didn't know that. She thought it was a problem with her.
Somewhere along the way, I stopped experiencing my body from the inside and started seeing it through everyone else's eyes. I spent years trying to understand my mind, heal my wounds, connect with my intuition, and awaken spiritually.
Years later, astrology helped me make sense of what I had lived.
My Chiron in Aries reflected the wound of learning it wasn't safe to simply be myself. My Scorpio North Node invited me to go beneath the surface and question the stories I had accepted as truth. It wasn't asking me to become someone different. It was asking me to uncover what had been buried beneath years of conditioning.
As I followed that thread, I realized the beliefs I carried about my body weren't random. They had become the lens through which I experienced myself and the world. Every relationship, every opportunity, every fear of being seen was filtered through a story that had been written long before I was old enough to question it.
Healing wasn't about forcing myself and my path toward the qualities of my North Node.
It was about uncovering the story my South Node had been carrying, understanding how Chiron revealed where that story had taken root, and allowing those old beliefs to loosen their grip.
Looking back, I can see that I searched almost everywhere except the one place that had been with me all along. My body.
The very thing I had learned to distrust had been carrying me through every moment of my life.
My heart had never forgotten its rhythm. My breath had never stopped returning.
My body had never stopped healing, regenerating, adapting, and responding to life. It had been quietly moving with the same intelligence that guides the seasons, grows the trees, heals a cut, and reminds us to breathe before we even think about it.
Somewhere along the way, I had learned that it wasn't safe to be here.
Not because my body had ever betrayed me, but because the world taught me to see it through fear, judgment, comparison, and someone else's expectations. I learned to leave my body instead of living inside it.
To analyze it. Fix it. Control it. Change it.
To see it through everyone else's eyes instead of experiencing it as my own.
Coming home meant learning that it was safe to be here again. Safe to feel, to take up space, and to trust the wisdom already living within me.
Maybe that's what sacredness has really been about. Not finding a new space or ceremony, or becoming someone new, but remembering the wisdom, intelligence, and sacredness that have been here from the very beginning.
The quiet intelligence that has been guiding me long before I had words for it.
Coming home to my body became a sacred act because I began to remember that I am not separate from nature. I am nature. A flower or a tree doesn't question its worth. It simply grows, moves, adapts, and lives through its seasons.
Maybe I can too.
As I continued reflecting on this, my relationship with astrology changed too.
For most of my life, I thought my North Node in Scorpio was simply about depth and transformation. Now I see something much more personal.
My South Node in Taurus showed me the familiar ways I sought safety, stability, and acceptance in the external world. I learned to measure my worth through my body, how I was perceived, whether I was chosen, and whether I fit into the expectations around me. Those patterns weren't wrong. They were adaptive. They helped me survive.
But my North Node in Scorpio has continually invited me beneath those surface experiences. Not to reject my body, but to uncover the stories I had attached to it. To question what I believed was true and discover what actually belonged to me. I had always thought that invitation was pointing me toward my 4th house. The 4th house represents our inner foundation, our childhood roots, ancestral lineage, and the private home we create within ourselves to feel safe and emotionally secure.
Then I noticed something I had overlooked for years.
My North Node wasn't in my 4th house. It's in my 3rd house, just before my IC. The Imum Coeli (Latin for "bottom of the sky") is the exact point at the very bottom of the birth chart and the polar opposite of the Midheaven (MC).
That changed everything.
The timing was almost uncanny. I had just spent the past several years healing my relationship with my family, my adoption story, and the patterns I inherited. As I relocated to Oregon and settled into a sacred season of integration, I realized my North Node had almost been veiled from my awareness. The discovery felt divinely timed, inviting me to take everything I had uncovered and fully claim myself through my voice.
The 3rd house is about communication, but it's also about how we think, learn, make meaning, and ultimately find our voice. I began to realize that my North Node wasn't simply asking me to transform. It was asking me to transform the stories I was living inside so I could speak from the truth of who I am.
I couldn't share my truth while I was still seeing myself through old beliefs that I had adopted as mine.
Coming home to my body was the key to finding my voice.
As I accepted my body, I became more at home in my expression. I stopped explaining myself so much. I stopped searching for permission or needing to get it right. My words became simpler because they were no longer trying to compensate for old wounds.
Looking back, I wonder if this has been what my North Node has been asking of me all along. Not simply to transform myself. To transform the stories that kept me disconnected from my body so I could finally speak from the truth of who I am. (Which, by the way, is central to my soul purpose.)
When I really look at the work I do today, I realize that helping people uncover limiting beliefs is at the heart of it.
So I turned that process toward myself. I asked a simple question:
Who do I want to become? Not what do I want to achieve or accomplish, but how do I want to feel?
The answer surprised me. Free in my body.
From there, another question naturally emerged. When have I felt that way before?
I remembered seasons of my life when I felt spacious in my body. I enjoyed getting dressed. I felt at home in myself. I have a Taurus Midheaven with Jupiter, and beauty, nature, and creating intentional spaces have always mattered deeply to me. I can see now that this wasn't only about the spaces around me. It was also about creating a life that felt beautiful to live from within. My body was always meant to be part of that. My first altar.
As I followed that thread, I noticed a pattern.
About every seven years, I would arrive in one of those seasons where I felt more at home in myself. Then something would happen. A relationship would end. Getting laid off from a job. Buying a house. Life would fall into chaos, and that sense of home in myself would disappear with it.
But this time, instead of asking what was wrong with me, I asked where that pattern began.
.
It led me back to the moments I was teased for being fat. To feeling different in an adoptive family. To believing my body was somehow the problem. Then something unexpected surfaced.
You were never fat. You just hit puberty early.
That single realization felt like a line of dominoes falling.
Suddenly I could see how one belief, reinforced by life adn those closest to me, had quietly shaped every season that followed.
I could also see the environments I had been trying to survive. Drinking was normalized. Hustle was celebrated. One-size-fits-all diets and fitness were treated as the answer. My body was exhausted, inflamed, dysregulated, and constantly trying to adapt to a way of living that didn't actually support me.
It wasn't simply a matter of willpower. I had never been given the conditions to thrive. But today I have awareness, agency, and sovereignty. I know how I want to nourish my body. I have a vision. But most importantly, I claimed myself.
And as those old beliefs began to dissolve, something shifted almost immediately. The hopelessness that had quietly lived beneath all the trying and effort wasn't there anymore.
Instead, all I felt was space. To breathe, to be, to live.
More than anything, Chiron has shown me that my deepest healing was never about becoming who other people believed I should be. It was about learning to see myself clearly. Not through someone else's eyes. Through my own.
When I put all of these pieces together, I don't just see astrology. I see a map.
A way of uncovering the stories we've been living inside so we can clear what no longer belongs to us. So we can not only understand the path we have walked, but also the one our soul designed.
On the other side of that breakthrough is the other end of the spectrum: living the result of this process. Living the vision as yourself. Knowing you are enough. Realizing your soul's purpose because you've done the work to uncover it.
I don't believe we're here to become someone else.
I think we're here to become more fully ourselves. More human.
I believe this is why so many of us who feel connected to the same wave are beginning to rise with our voices, our confidence, and our willingness to fully claim ourselves.
To embody the essence of who we truly are. To become a clearer expression of the soul that came here to live through us.
Through this process, I have created resources for the seasons I have walked through myself. They are practical guides for understanding healing, soul purpose, and claiming your essence. Not a job or an archetype, but who you uniquely are and why you are here now.
