Why Should We Care About the Gene Keys?
We don't need another spiritual system, personality assessment, or chart telling us who we are.
If you've been here for a while, you know I love astrology, Human Design, numerology, and all the self-discovery tools. And now I'm suggesting you put it all down for a minute.
Yes, you heard me. If all the numbers, symbols, and charts make your head spin, put them down. And if you've already tried all the things, put them down for a bit, too. Because at some point, all this self-awareness needs to become something we actually live.
You may know your Big 3, Human Design type, attachment style, trauma story, triggers, and every shadow you've ever encountered. But what happens when someone cuts you off in traffic, your plans fall apart, or you repeat the same relationship pattern for the seventeenth time? That's where things get interesting.
Gene Keys Enters the Chat
Every 5.7 days or so, the Conscious Sun moves into a new Gene Key, highlighting a different energetic theme to contemplate. There are 64 of them, and you don't need to memorize a single one. Read my newsletter or Google "current Conscious Sun Gene Key," explore the theme, and notice how it's showing up in your life. That's it.
I like to explain the Gene Keys this way: Astrology and Human Design had a baby.
Created by Richard Rudd, a former student and teacher of Human Design, the Gene Keys share the same foundation of 64 archetypes rooted in the I Ching, astrology, Kabbalah, and the Hindu chakra system. The numbers correspond to the 64 Human Design gates, but the approach is more contemplative and, in my opinion, less heady.
Each Gene Key explores three frequencies: the Shadow, where our fears and unconscious patterns live; the Gift, where awareness opens new possibilities; and the Siddhi, the highest expression of that energy. For example, Gene Key 57 moves through Unease → Intuition → Clarity, while Gene Key 50 explores Corruption → Equilibrium → Harmony. These aren't instructions. They're invitations to explore what those words mean beyond our conditioning and recognize how we're experiencing them in everyday life.
Why Should We Care?
Because we inherit beliefs about money, relationships, security, success, and belonging. We develop coping skills that help us survive, and then one day those same patterns stop working. Sometimes that's what awakening feels like. The old ways aren't working, and the Universe seems to be inviting us to evolve.
Here's what I love: You don't have to fix yourself to begin exploring any of it. You just have to get curious. Why did that conversation trigger me? What am I holding onto? Am I responding from fear or intuition? What else might be possible?
And the answers don't always arrive during meditation. Sometimes they show up in a song, a detour to the grocery store, or even a game of Mahjong.
I've been playing matching Mahjong while listening to healing transmissions, and it's been teaching me a surprising amount about my own thinking. When I get stuck, I zoom out. Suddenly, I see a move that was right in front of me. Sometimes I have to start over and choose another route. Sound like life? That's contemplation in action. No elaborate ceremony required.
But Aren't We Supposed to Trust Ourselves?
Exactly! And this is where spiritual exploration can get a little ridiculous. We can become so busy studying ourselves that we forget to experience being ourselves.
I've spent years exploring these systems, and they've helped me recognize the patterns, gifts, and connections running through my life. But I eventually realized something important. The charts weren't more important than my own inner knowing. They were helping me recognize how to work with my intuition.
That's why I love using the current Gene Key as a weekly contemplation. It gives us something to explore while we're living our actual lives, without needing another chart, course, or certification. And please, don't turn contemplation into another assignment you need to complete perfectly.
We're messy, intuitive, creative, contradictory, occasionally ridiculous humans learning to live with greater awareness and naturally elevate our frequency.
You don't need to understand the entire universe. You need to start trusting yourself enough to live what you've already learned.
Work with Me
I've spent years studying astrology, Human Design, and the Gene Keys, alongside my work in psychology and art therapy. What I love most is helping people connect the dots, recognize their patterns, and translate all that insight into something meaningful and practical in their everyday lives.
You get to decide what feels most supportive.
1:1 Essence & Vision Sessions
Sometimes the most meaningful shifts happen when we have space to explore what we're experiencing, recognize patterns, and connect the insights to our everyday lives.
My live 1:1 sessions offer space for personal exploration, clarity, creative vision, and integration. Drawing from my background in psychology, art therapy, Soul Mapping, and intuitive work, we can explore whatever is most relevant to you, whether that's a life transition, personal direction, creative project, or something you're ready to understand more deeply.
These sessions are collaborative, guided by your questions, experiences, and what you want to explore.
Transmission Reading
A personalized, recorded Soul Mapping reading that brings together your Astrology, Human Design, and Gene Keys charts to explore the recurring themes, natural gifts, challenges, and patterns woven throughout your life.
I'll explore how these systems work together, along with intuitive insights and a three-card oracle pull from my unpublished decks. You'll receive an approximately 20-minute recording to revisit and integrate at your own pace.
