ART THERAPY + APPROACH

What is ART THErapy AND CREATIVE COUNSELING?

INTEGRATIVE Healing of Mind, Body & Spirit through art

I refer to my work as creative counseling to help people more immediately understand what Art Therapy is. I work with several modalities and approached that is integrated into the lens of Transpersonal Counseling and Energywork with the primary modality of art. Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses art and mindfulness to explore mental, emotional and spiritual challenges. Our memory, dreams, divine inspiration often comes to us as imagery. We must have access to our subconscious and creativity to rediscover our authentic or truest selves. In order to have that connection we must be intentionally connected to our body, mind and spirit. Once we are present we can ingrate and heal these aspects of ourselves to reach our full potential and life's purpose. Learn how art therapy can help you to rediscover your authentic self and put you on a path to your life's purpose.

WHO IS ART THERAPY and CREATIVE COUNSELING FOR?

FOR ANY INDIVIDUAL THAT IS READY FOR HEALING & GROWTH

No matter your age, experiences or challenges I believe art therapy is for everyone no matter their artistic level. I provide a space that is creative but also safe for clients to explore emotional content through a therapeutic relationship. Through this honest, open, and nurturing relationship we are able to work toward connecting you to the things you want most in life. I work with many individuals experiencing challenges associated with anxiety and challenges with family of origin. These symptoms are often due to repressed emotions which block the integration of energy in your whole being. I believe the mind-body connection is where a majority of focus must be applied, regardless of the origin; trauma, early wounds or more recent events.

Each person's path is unique, I implore a strengths-based and eclectic approach to meet each client where they are at. The foundation of my approach to healing is wholistic and engrained in transpersonal psychology. This essentially means to mindfully and curiously explore the human experience from a bio, psycho, social, and spiritual perspective.

Through the use of art, mindfulness practices and therapeutic interventions we purposefully, transparently, and directly let the magic of creation happen. Through these vehicles the mind-body connection is restored. Restoration of this important connection allows you connect with your health and wholeness to be your the truest self or the authentic person that you were born to be. Once this part of you is awakened or unearthed you are able to reach your full potential for your most fulfilling life.
